"As an artist, you cannot fail to be inspired by the rugged north Cornwall coastline.
The changing light and sudden turn of the weather leads to dramatic sea and landscapes.
I am always aware of the power of the Atlantic which can change from being a summer playground to wild and stormy seas which have claimed many lives.
The metaphor of the harbour of being a safe haven is also mirrored in the many Cornish Methodist hymns which are part of the history of our beautiful chapel.
I try to capture something of the atmosphere and mood of the coastline that I look at everyday"
