Faye Hawkins

Faye studied at Nottingham Trent University where she gained a degree in Textile design. Shortly after leaving University she joined the family business where she worked part time doing hand painted tile murals. She quickly discovered that although she loved the decorating aspect of the business, she was keen to follow in her Dad's footsteps and start an apprenticeship making the pottery as well.
“I feel extremely lucky to be doing a job I love, in a place I love. Dad has been a great teacher and we enjoy working together and sharing ideas.”

Faye’s designs are mainly based on the images she comes across on the north Cornish coastline including sea birds such as Herring gulls, Gannets and fish such as Mackerel and Sea Bass.
Her pots are all hand thrown on a potters wheel and decorated on the premises. The larger one off pieces are also finished in 24 carat gold lustre.

Faye also sells a range of children's clothing for boys and girls between the ages of 6 months and 11 years - perfect presents for little ones too!
