“I love the challenges that the constant changing of the light brings to each painting. I particularly love the reflections which create a whole new dimension to the composition. This painting was done from the viewpoint of the beach after the sun began to set over the harbour. The whitewashed buildings reflect the warm glow of the last rays of sunshine.The best light is often in the winter when the sun is lower and gives some very dramatic passing effects.”
